What Christian is doing now:
Loves:
- His stuffed animals (Doggy, Piglet, Tigger, Blankie, and Luke's Bunny)
- Daddy and Mommy
- "Wookus"
- 5 t-shirts in particular: boat, whale, horse, shark, surfboard (sometimes wearing them all in one day. I have tried confiscating a couple of them, but he continues to ask for them.)
- Art projects: drawing, play dough, painting, chalk
- Building with Lego's, bristle blocks
- His friends (most of which are girls: Hannah, Brooke, Mady, Evalee, Jojo.) He also talks about the girls at school often.
- Playing with balls
- To go and be out and about (each morning he asks "Where my go?")
- School
- Bath time and getting his face wet. (He now prefers showers instead.)
- Food? Not really, but Christian continues to be a picky eater. He is, however, an excellent drinker- I think he quite possibly lives on liquids at times.
Christian is a great big brother, and Lucas is C's Number One Fan. When Lucas is napping he always asks if he can open Luke's door. I love to hear our boys giggling together and to see the relationship that is forming. We pray that Christian will be a great example for Lucas in the years to come.
Christian enjoys helping out in the yard and around the house (puts his clothes away in drawers, "mows" the yard, helps empty the dishwasher, feeds Phoenix, wipes the spots off the floor, etc.) It is actually beginning to be quite helpful, and I know C takes pride in his little accomplishments. I am glad it is still fun for him to help, versus later when I am sure it may be like pulling teeth to get him to do chores. ;)
Has become very self-sufficient (picks out his clothes and gets dressed on his own, uses the potty (HOORAY for no more diapers, other than rest times.)
At C's 3 year check up today he weighed 33 pounds putting him in the 64th percentile, and was 38.5 inches tall putting him in 73rd percentile for boys his age.
For Christian's Birthday on Monday he went to school where he had a little birthday celebration with his friends with cupcakes! For dinner we had homemade macaroni and cheese (his request- although I think he maybe had three bites) and more cupcakes. He then opened his gifts from family. On Saturday we are throwing a little birthday party with some of his friends.
