Noah is 7 Months

Another month has flown by, and Noah is now 7 months old! He has changed quite a bit this past month. First of all, Noah is becoming much more vocal! He enjoys babbling, blowing bubbles, and says "mama" (I would like to think he knows what he is saying,) "baba," and other one-syllable sounds. Although he still has yet to steadily sit on his own, when he is on his belly he lifts up on his arms (doing a plank) and just the past couple weeks is getting on his knees and rocks back and forth. He may just begin crawling before he sits. :) Noah sure knows how to get around a room, he does a little army crawl and pushes off with his toes to get a toy, etc. I have been telling big brothers that it is definitely time to start being better about putting the Legos away as well as treasured school papers- Noah is quick to get into everything! Noah is also exploring new foods. So far he has had bananas, sweet potatoes, summer squash, avocado, crackers, and bread, but I think applesauce and pears are his favorite so far. He actually doesn't seem to enjoy the purees all that much, so I have been exploring the "Baby-Led Weaning" idea where babies learn to eat softened food on their own vs. slurping purees. Noah definitely seems to prefer feeding himself. He is currently wearing size 3 diapers and size 6-12 month clothing. He continues to be such a sweetheart. Always so smiley and generally a pretty chill baby. His big brothers adore him too! :)

Spring in Colorado

Spring in Colorado is quite different than the past 7 years of Spring that we had in California and most certainly different than South Carolina. It is much slower moving, and maybe not quite as colorful. Regardless, I got a few pictures of the beautiful tree in our front yard last week. It was a gray day, so the tree almost looked like it was covered in snow rather than white flowers. And of course...photos of cuties at the bottom. :o)

Easter 2014

For Easter weekend we spent Saturday at Nana and Papa's house. The day was laid back and quite overcast. Christian enjoyed practicing/learning how to throw a baseball with Papa, and helped Papa in the yard while Lucas played with trucks. Steve enjoyed the fancy car that my dad brought home for the weekend. The boys also helped Nana decorate Easter cupcakes. In the afternoon while the two littles were napping, Papa, Steve, and Christian went golfing for a bit before it became too cold.

On Sunday we celebrate Easter with Grandpa and Grandma's house with fun at the park, a special Easter egg hunt, and Grandma made everyone their own scavenger hunt to find a little treat. We then had a yummy brunch with all the family.
