Fall Fun!

Football, raking golden leaves, cold noses, pumpkin patches, lazy afternoons, carving pumpkins... this is what Fall is made of, and we are loving it!!

Noah is 2 Weeks

These past two weeks have flown by it seems. The first week we had lots of family helping us here in Fort Collins, and then last week Christian, Lucas, Noah, and I drove down to my parents' house for the week. Noah is doing really well. He is a great eater, and daytime sleeper. ;o) Really, he has been fairly easy at night too. He usually wakes every three hours on the dot, so he will wake 2-3 times at night. Of course, I am ready for some longer stretches of sleep, but I am thankful that he is mostly predictable at night. Noah had a followup checkup at 5 days old and he was 6 pounds 15 ounces (he only dropped an ounce.) Our next well-baby checkup will be at one month old.

C, L, and N at 2 weeks

I did this post of Christian and Lucas at 2 weeks, now I need to do one with all THREE of our boys at approximately 2 weeks of age. :o) So far, we are thinking that Noah looks more like Christian, although it is a bit hard to tell in these photos.

Lucas' 1st Haircut and Transitions

There have been lots of changes for Mr. Lucas lately. After being the "baby" for 21 months, he is now a big brother!

The weekend before Noah was born Lucas began sleeping in his big boy bed (a queen!) The transition from crib to bed for Lucas was harder than it was for Christian, partly because he was in a new room too. We had the poor guy sleeping in a pack n' play for several weeks to get him accustomed to the new room, and then finally removed the pack n' play. He is now doing great sleeping in the bed for naps and at bedtime! (He dropped his morning nap around 21 months.)

This week Lucas had his first haircut- really a trim in the back because he had a silly rat tail-like thing going on. He was all smiley and did awesome!! Not a big deal at all for this lil' trooper!

Lucas is doing well as a big brother. He wants mommy to hold him often (especially when he sees me holding Noah) but is doing well overall. I think it helps having an older brother to play with during feedings, busy times, etc.

Noah's First Week

We are so thankful to have had lots of help with our return home from the hospital. Nana was here for a few days then Grandpa, and then Aunt Kristi. All lavished the boys with lots of attention and love. Christian and Lucas have been sweet to baby Noah. Lucas likes to gently rub "Bay-e" Noah's head and Christian, being the experienced big brother that he is, asks about Noah often and is generally going with the flow. Lucas has been more clingy as he can definitely be a Mama's boy. Noah is a great eater and I am hoping he will sleep longer stretches soon (last night he only woke twice!) Otherwise he is a super sweet snuggle bug. I am planning to head to Denver for about a week with the three boys so that I can continue to get a little more help with the boys (and sleep) while Steve stays in Fort Collins and concentrates on his school work and thesis.

Noah's first "bath." Big brother's were concerned.
