C loves his LEGOS. His favorite thing to do right now is build towers. Of course, he rarely asks me to play LEGOS, but rather his Daddy who is much more creative in building cool things.
I just can't get over how big Christian looks in these photos- especially the last one.

Colorado Fort
Christian is super excited about our upcoming move to Colorado. He keeps talking about going to Nana and Papa's, Grandma and Grandpa's, and playing with his cousins because they are his "best friends." His new thing is his "Colorado" fort that he builds in his room. He sometimes likes to sleep on the cold hardwood floor during naps or even bedtime. I can't imagine how it would be comfortable, even with all his blankets, but he doesn't seem to mind.

More Spring
A few more Springy photos that would have been perfect with the last post.
Christian's preschool had a "Grandfriends Day" where they invite grandparents and friends to see their classroom, have a Spring parade, and then enjoy cookies and lemonade. I just thought Christian was so cute with his little flower hat. :o) This is C with one of his teachers: Mrs. Nikki in the parade.
Christian also was thrilled to find this little guy in our watering can in the backyard. He would not leave it alone. But I must say, the frog was brave enough to jump on the water table in order to get to safety on the other side.

Spring is Here
Usually I enjoy the winter months, but this year I was SO ready for warmer weather and outdoor activities. I know I can't complain living in the South, especially since it snowed a couple days this week in Colorado. It may be a difficult adjustment moving back to Colorado weather-wise. I am not sure if I am ready for all the snow and driving in icy conditions. But hey- we will finally be back home!

October Baby Surprise
God has a sense of humor, is truly all-knowing, and the Master planner, because we are expecting Baby #3 mid-October (October 16 is my actual due date.) Although a "bit" of a shock initially, we are becoming excited (and honestly a little anxious), to introduce another little one into our family. In many ways, the timing is perfect since we will be back home in Colorado, where help and support from family is more accessible.
My first trimester went pretty smooth overall (I will be 14 weeks on Wednesday.) I did have a little bit of evening sickness around week 8 when my stomach felt uneasy. Otherwise, I have just been tired, often taking naps when the boys take their afternoon nap, and trying to muster energy by the time Steve comes home in the evening. I had my first OB appointment at week 11. They did a thorough exam and ultrasound, and being a little farther along in the pregnancy, the ultrasound pictures were much clearer. My favorite part was seeing the baby's little froggie legs; he/she was all stretched out. The baby's heartbeat was a healthy 159 beats per minute, and based on the crown to rump measurements, he/she was measuring 5 days ahead. Considering I had both Christian and Lucas early, this may actually be another September baby. I will obviously be switching doctors this pregnancy, so I am a little anxious about how all that will work out with our move to Colorado, not to mention moving 1,500 miles across the country with two littles. Fortunately, it will be mid-pregnancy, so not too close to the baby's arrival date. Regardless, I am excited to have a Colorado baby! :)
How we announced the news to family back in February. This photo was taken at Downtown Disney when we were on our Disney World vacation:

Easter 2013
Below are some Easter photos from Sunday (and a few from last Saturday when the boys opened an Easter box from Nana.) We had a beautiful day of church, lunch at our dear neighbor and friend Leigh's house, naps :o), an Easter egg hunt in the backyard, and a walk around the neighborhood. It is bittersweet that this was our last holiday here in South Carolina, but we are excited to celebrate the upcoming ones with our families!
Steve and I had been talking to Christian about what Easter means, about how Jesus died for our sins, was buried in a tomb, and rose on the third day...most importantly that Jesus is ALIVE! We weren't sure if Christian was listening or really understood the whole idea, after all, it is definitely a big concept for little ones, let alone adults. While I was planting some pink geraniums (Christian picked the color) in some outdoor pots, I was telling him that because of the cool evenings I hoped the flowers would stay alive. His response: "Like Jesus?"
