Last Days in Fort Collins

Our last days in Fort Collins before the move were a little rushed with "goodbyes" and "farewells." Steve was still crazy busy with school work and finishing up his classes for his Masters degree. Our packers and movers came the week before Thanksgiving in hopes of being able to rent out the home we lived in a little sooner and to make the holiday season more enjoyable. We LOVE Fort Collins and it was so hard to say goodbye. Such fond memories in that town! For all we know we will end up there again in the future (after all, we never thought that we would live there again after college!)

Here are some random photos from November :)

We LOVED our awesome big backyard in our Fort Collins home. It had the best hill for sledding and the slip n' slide!

One of our favorite spots in the Winter or hot Summer days was a local play place called Cool Beans!

One of the first snows for the season! So excited!

Halloween 2014

Halloween of 2014 was pretty low-key this year. We attempted to go to see Book at the Zoo in Denver with the boys and Papa but to our disappointment it was closed. :( So we made it up (sort of) with a trip to Cold Stone Creamery. On Halloween we had 2 pirates, a cowboy, and a puppy dog. The boys had fun dressing up, trick-or-treating, and of course eating way too much candy! Halloween has become Christian's favorite holiday. Even now (in January as I post this) Christian is still asking when it will be Fall again.

Enjoying his lollipop!

At Nana & Papa's. Dressed up for Boo at the Zoo the weekend before.

Fall Days ?

Ugh, I am so behind. The past month+ we were in the midst of transition from our Fort Collins home to our new assignment in Colorado Springs. We spent the majority of our time in Castle Rock with Steve's family as they are now only a mere 40 minutes away from our new home. It really made the transition easier so that we could go down to Colorado Springs a day here or there to allow the movers to drop off items and slowly unpack. And then there was Christmas and New Years and Birthdays in the mix. More posts to follow, but for now I wanted to do a quick photo post about our Fall...because, yes, I am that far behind in my family blogging.

I love my Fall months! The change in temperature, and pulling out warmer clothes. The fall colors, warm coffee, and crunchy leaves are all so special to me. :) This fall was full of mountain drives up Horsetooth, pumpkin patches, and we loved visiting the Fritzler Corn Maze this year. The boys (especially Christian) enjoyed the corn maze, games, jumping pillow, and slide mountain. It was a brisk evening when we went, but it was so fun to see the attractions.

Christian was my little helper raking leaves. We raked a few times while the younger brothers napped and then when they woke Christian and Lucas would jump in the piles...and then we would do it all over again. ;)
