First Day of Preschool 2013

Tuesday was Christian's first day of preschool. He is attending a small and fairly new preschool that meets in a church and includes a small mixed group of children ages 3-5. He loved school in Sumter, so has really been looking forward to school all summer long. The morning of, C had his shoes, backpack, and hat on and ready to go 30 minutes before it was time to leave the house. He was just SO excited! What he said he was most looking forward to: painting, dancing, and reading books.

This last photo was taken at the end of the school day when Christian decided he was ready for me to take his picture. :\ (What a stinker.)

Summer Buddies

Christian and Lucas have really developed some brotherly love since we have moved back to Colorado and this summer. In some ways I think a lot of it has to do with Lucas being mobile and walking. Now they can get into even more trouble since he follows Christian around the house and outside. They both seem to mimic one another (for better or worse) and overall enjoy each other's company. So heartwarming to see the affection and to hear Christian call Lucas his "Buddy" and "Best Friend."

Summer Recap

Both Christian and Steve(!) start school next week, and since I have been a horrible blogger this summer, I thought I would do a little photo recap. Our summer days have been relaxed (other than what seems like tons of doctor appointments between the four of us) and we have been enjoying lots of lazy afternoons with Steve (definitely a huge change from his last job.) We have been taking advantage of seeing him often before school goes into full swing, and life becomes busy once again (think baby #3!) We have been loving our large backyard, eating outside, playing in the water, walking to neighborhood parks, trips to the library, driving to south Denver often to visit and hang out with family, hikes, walks, and the bliss of a perfect Colorado summer!

Cousins

Love this photo of the cousins on my side (almost in order) that my SIL, Kimberly took on Saturday after a long walk on the Spring Creek trail in Fort Collins. As Kim said, five kiddos in four years is quite productive. :o)
From left to right: Hudson (11 months), Lucas (19 months), Shepherd (2.5), Linden (5), and Christian (almost 4.) We are loving being close to both of our families again, especially for all the kids!
