Mowing Mowing Mowing

And the mowing adventures continue. So funny seeing these 3 cuties mowing the lawn together. :) I can only imagine how hilarious it will be when all FOUR of my boys are mowing the lawn. Guess we will need to get another play mower by then.

Noah is 10 Months

Seriously, how is it that Noah is another month old? I think it was just yesterday that he was born...but instead he is crawling everywhere, up the stairs, pulling himself to standing and holding on with only one hand (he's pretty stable,) getting into items in the pantry, sprawling toys everywhere, and learning how to use his voice! He kind of shouts when he wants attention, not that he never receives any with two big brothers who love playing with him and holding him. For whatever reason, Christian calls Noah his "little dire boy" ? Noah is a pretty good eater overall- still not keen on all veggies and prefers fruit. But he loves black beans and wants whatever big brothers are having. I didn't even realize it until it was already there, but Noah cut his 6th tooth on the top left within the past week. So now he has 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom- kinda funny lookin'. ;) Noah loves to cuddle with his little Aden + Anais swaddle blankets. I haven't really noticed him gravitating to any particular toy, but he does try to put every. little. thing. in his mouth...it's amazing what he finds, and what he can fit in there! It can be kind of a challenge since Christian and Lucas love Legos and rubber bouncy balls, and all sorts of little toys. Noah is definitely enjoying exploring and learning and playing.

Update: This Monday, 8/18 Noah had a well checkup and weighed 18 lbs 11 oz, putting him in the 9th percentile for weight and was 29 inches tall, putting him in the 49th percentile for height for boys his age.

Christian's First Camping Trip

Christian and I (Steve) took a camping trip to the KOA lakeside just north of Fort Collins in early July. Despite the potential for rain we loaded up the Jeep with treats, firewood, and camping gear and headed to the site. As I frantically tried to put up an 8 person tent before the rain started Christian happily fished in the lake just next to the tent site. What a perfect spot!

The tent was set up just as the rain started, so Christian and I hid inside to wait out the storm, where we proceeded to snack, tell stories, and play sleeping bag monster until the rain stopped. Once the storm passed we headed out to explore the rest of the campground. First stop was the paddle boats on the lake, which were closed until the storms were out of sight (we had to put this on our list for next time). Instead we hopped on some pedal bikes and rode around the whole campground. After working up an appetite we ordered pizza for dinner (easy mode camping). With the day drawing to a close we started a roaring fire and made S'mores for the rest of the evening.

Early the next morning we set out to enjoy more of the campgrounds. After biking around some more we played a round of mini golf before heading back to clean up our tent site. The trip was short but it was an absolute blast. Did I mention that Christian fished in the lake every opportunity he had (any spare moment.) We will definitely be camping soon, perhaps with Lucas as well. Never too early to start getting those camping legs :)

When we returned home Christian was so excited about the adventure that we immediately went to the backyard to recreate his experience using the kiddie pool and some grass and weeds as "algae" (which is all we ever catch).

We will be camping again soon! -SDR
